NYC PREMIERE In this debut feature from directors Parker Hill and Isabel Bethencourt, three Texas teenagers grasp for the freedom of adulthood as they spend a summer expanding the boundaries of their newfound agency. In Brittney, Autumn, and Aaloni’s world, the ramifications of hangouts, alcohol, and sex loom over their young lives, threatening the joy of adolescence with some very grim realities. This freewheeling portrait of American youth serves as a poignant reminder that the eternal struggle of finding your way in the world faces new challenges in our modern era. – Brandon Harrison
