Inside the Cinematographer’s Mind

Join us for an immersive day long workshop where clip analysis provides insights into the creative process and techniques used by filmmakers. Jeffrey Johnson (A Thousand Cuts), Nausheen Dadabhoy (An Act of Worship), Vanessa Carr (On Pointe), and Alex Pritz (The Territory) will help you discover new and innovative ways to film interviews, and learn how to use different camera angles and lighting techniques to create dynamic and engaging footage. Apply these techniques to your own work and elevate your documentary filmmaking skills. This workshop will be highly interactive with a vibrant audience Q & A.

Day-of tickets available at the IFC Center box office only. In-person session tickets are $99 ($79 for IFC Center members). Tickets are non-refundable. Tickets include a free popcorn and coffee or soda at the session and a free drink at our happy hour.
