Filmmakers Ian Bonhôte and Peter Ettedgui (McQueen) soar to new heights with their emotional and deeply moving account of the story of the late Christopher Reeve, who became an iconic movie star as the Man of Steel in the blockbuster Superman films of the late 1970s and 80s – until a near-fatal accident left him paralyzed from the neck down. This epic documentary details Reeve’s pivot to determined activism for spinal cord injury cures and disability rights and care, a journey that his three children, Matthew, Alexandra and Will, would eventually continue after his untimely death.
