Michael Feinstein at ‘Sound of Mumbai’

Michael Feinstein, five-time Grammy-nominated entertainer dubbed “The Ambassador of the Great American Songbook,” will participate in the post-screening discussion of The Sound of Mumbai: A Musical at DOC NYC. Feinstein is nationally recognized for his commitment to celebrating America’s popular song and preserving its legacy for the next generation. Together with director Sarah McCarthy, he’ll discuss how The Sound of Music is reinterpreted in this poignant chronicle of Mumbai slum children selected to perform the classic Rodgers & Hammerstein musical at the city’s elite performing arts center.
