DEFIANT

NYC PREMIERE  DEFIANT is a defining survey of the Ukrainian experience during the first 18 months of the 2022 Russian full-scale invasion. With Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba as a central figure, DEFIANT tracks the Ukrainian fighting spirit in both diplomatic circles and on the front lines as ordinary civilian life is turned upside down by Russian aggression. The acclaimed filmmakers behind Oscar-winner Navalny and Oscar-nominated The Square and Hell and Back Again have a powerful affinity to the indomitable spirit of strength found in heroes on the right side of history. – Jaie Laplante 

The first and second screenings will be followed by a Q&A with director/producer Karim Amer, and producers Mike Lerner and Odessa Rae.
