Students in the one-year Documentary Specialization program at Columbia learn to write, film, and narrate the stories of our time, from deadline reporting to profile writing and audio stories. Program alumni have been awarded the Student Academy Award and BAFTA Student Award, published their work online, sold their films to broadcasters and to Netflix, and enjoyed success on the film festival circuit.
